Sensata Technologies Acquires Xirgo Technologies for $400M

Sensata Technologies agreed to acquire Xirgo Technologies Intermediate Holdings, LLC for $400 million to accelerate its Smart & Connected initiative and expand capabilities in telematics, IoT devices and data insight for fleet and transportation customers. Xirgo reported expected 2021 revenue above $100 million and the deal is expected to be accretive to Sensata's adjusted net income per share in 2021; the transaction closed after customary approvals in early 2021.

Balmoral Funds Acquires Sensata's Insights Business Unit, Rebrands as Xirgo Technologies

Balmoral will invest in R&D and market expansion while appointing IoT veteran Chris Wolfe as CEO to drive growth in IoT and AI video markets; Xirgo supports over 900 channel partners and deploys more than 1.6 million devices per year.

International Wire Group Acquires Owl Wire and Cable

International Wire Group (IWG) has acquired Owl Wire and Cable from Marmon Holdings, Inc. The transaction adds Owl’s high-volume bare and tinned copper wire manufacturing operations in Canastota, Rome and Boonville, New York to IWG’s U.S. and European manufacturing footprint, expanding IWG’s product capabilities and capacity to serve industrial, electronics, aerospace and automotive end markets.

Blue Owl Capital Acquires Kuvare Asset Management for $750 Million

Blue Owl Capital agreed to acquire Kuvare Asset Management (KAM) for $750 million, funded with a mix of cash and Blue Owl Class A common stock; the acquisition is expected to add up to $20 billion of AUM to Blue Owl and support the launch of Blue Owl Insurance Solutions. Separately, Blue Owl made a $250 million preferred equity investment in Kuvare to provide growth capital to Kuvare's insurance businesses; most KAM employees are expected to join Blue Owl at closing.
