The Cary Company Acquires Quality Container, LLC

The Cary Company, a privately owned packaging and container distributor headquartered in Addison, Illinois, has acquired Quality Container, LLC, a Salt Lake City-based industrial container distributor. The acquisition expands The Cary Company's geographic coverage into the Intermountain and West Coast regions and brings Quality Container into operation as a division and wholly owned subsidiary.

Mauser Packaging Solutions Acquires Consolidated Container Company, LLC

Mauser Packaging Solutions, an affiliate of Stone Canyon Industries LLC, has acquired substantially all assets of Consolidated Container Company, LLC, a manufacturer, reconditioner and distributor of industrial containers with facilities in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kansas City, Kansas. The transaction, funded with $56 million in cash from Mauser's balance sheet, expands Mauser’s reconditioning and recycling capabilities and geographic footprint and is expected to be margin accretive before synergies.

Novvia Group Acquires Innovative Container

St. Louis-based Novvia Group, backed by private equity firm Kelso & Company, has acquired Innovative Container, a La Mirada, California distributor of plastic, metal, glass and corrugated rigid containers. The add-on expands Novvia's West Coast presence under its regional platform Rhino Container; financial terms were not disclosed.

Greif Acquires Majority Stake in Centurion Container LLC

Greif, Inc. completed an all-cash transaction to increase its ownership in Centurion Container LLC from 9% to 80% for $145 million, funded through Greif's existing credit facility. Centurion, a North American leader in IBC and plastic drum reconditioning with eight U.S. facilities, will be reported within Greif's Global Industrial Packaging segment and expand Greif's reusable packaging and circular-economy capabilities in North America.

Kelso & Company Acquires Container Supply, Adds to Packaging Distribution Platform

Funds managed by Kelso & Company acquired Container Supply, Inc., a rigid packaging distributor headquartered in Oklahoma City. Kelso will combine Container Supply with its existing investments in C.L. Smith, Inmark, and Silver Spur to expand its packaging distribution platform and strengthen presence in the South-Central U.S.; financial terms were not disclosed.

Greif, Inc. Acquires Lee Container Corporation

Greif, Inc. completed the acquisition of Lee Container Corporation for $300 million in an all-cash transaction funded through Greif's existing credit facility. The acquisition expands Greif's jerrycan and small-plastic container footprint in North America, is expected to be margin-accretive, and to generate approximately $6 million in synergies within the first two years.
