LINXIS Group, together with financial partner IK Investment Partners, has acquired Bakon, a Dutch designer and manufacturer of depositing, spraying and ultrasonic cutting machines for the baking and confectionery industries. The deal, purchased from Bakon's managers and investor Rabo Investments, expands LINXIS’s Portion Process capabilities (via Unifiller) and broadens its geographic and product offering in food-processing equipment.

Lynx Equity Acquires Alpine Shredders

BDC Capital provided $6 million in mezzanine financing to support the transaction; Alpine's president George Doerr will remain with the company.

The acquisition expands Lynx's portfolio into national telecommunications and electrical network services, leveraging MNM's design & build and manufacturing capabilities across the U.S. and Canada.

Lynx Equity Acquires Yellowhead Wood Products Inc.

Toronto-based private equity firm Lynx Equity Limited has acquired Yellowhead Wood Products Inc., a 30-year-old secondary wood remanufacturer headquartered in Edson, Alberta. The acquisition expands Lynx's wood re-manufacturing platform (joining Winfield Wood and Lath) and was supported by $3.5 million in acquisition financing from BDC Capital; the sellers were the shareholders of Yellowhead and the sell-side process was led by MNP Corporate Finance.

De Heus Group Acquires Kessels Holding (Van der Linden Poultry operations)

De Heus Group has acquired Kessels Holding B.V. and its underlying activities, including several Van der Linden legal entities (notably Van der Linden Poultry Products B.V.). The deal provides a succession solution for shareholders Jan and Geert Kessels (Jan is retiring; Geert will remain as operational director) while De Heus expands its vertical capability into poultry processing; existing supplier and customer arrangements will continue unchanged.
