Ares Management to Acquire SLR Consulting from Charterhouse Capital Partners

Charterhouse Capital Partners has agreed to sell SLR Consulting, a global environmental and sustainability consultancy with over 2,300 employees, to a private equity fund managed by Ares Management Corporation. The transaction, implemented via a conditional court-approved scheme, is expected to close by Q4 2022 subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals; Ares said it will support SLR’s next phase of growth in ESG and sustainability services.

RSE, a UK-based modular water treatment technology provider, has grown revenues from roughly £60m to over £200m and now employs over 1,500 people across the UK; the investment will help scale its modular manufacturing and service capabilities.
