SecureVision Acquires iPacket Networks and ENCO Bulk Connectivity Business

SecureVision LLC, a Gulf Coast bulk broadband provider for multifamily dwellings, announced it acquired IPacket Networks and ENCO’s bulk connectivity business in separate transactions. The deals were integrated into SecureVision’s fiber-fed, MDU-focused connectivity platform to expand coverage in key Florida markets and bring the combined business to more than 30,000 served units.

NewNet Communication Technologies, a Skyview Capital portfolio company, announced plans to acquire the WiMAX business from Nokia Siemens Networks, including the full product portfolio, related employees and assets, and active customer and supplier contracts. Approximately 300 Nokia Siemens Networks employees (many in suburban Chicago, USA and Hangzhou, China) are expected to transfer; the deal was expected to close before December 31, 2011 and terms were not disclosed.
