Shawbrook Group plc has signed an agreement to acquire ThinCats Group Limited, a specialist lender providing bespoke long-term debt funding to growth-focused SMEs. The acquisition is intended to complement Shawbrook’s existing SME lending platform, leveraging ThinCats’ origination capabilities, distribution network, and technology-enabled business model to accelerate growth in the specialist SME lending market.
