The acquisition adds cloud-based digital simulation and scalable design verification capabilities to Altair's Altair One platform, expanding its EDA and semiconductor software offerings; closing is subject to customary conditions.

Renesas Electronics Corporation agreed to acquire Altium Limited under an Australian Scheme of Arrangement, buying all outstanding Altium shares for A$68.50 per share. The acquisition closed on August 1, 2024, making Altium a wholly owned subsidiary of Renesas.
