Sompo International to Acquire Service Insurance Companies

Sompo International Holdings said its U.S. subsidiary has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Austin, Texas-based Service Insurance Companies, a monoline workers’ compensation insurer. The deal terms were not disclosed and is subject to regulatory and other customary closing conditions, while Service Insurance President Brad Davis is expected to continue leading the business under Sompo.
