Enjet Aero Acquires Spartan Aerospace

Enjet Aero, headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, has acquired Spartan Aerospace of Manchester, Connecticut, adding a 70,000 sq. ft. facility and 80+ employees to expand production capabilities and its greater Hartford presence. The acquisition enhances Enjet's capabilities in machined aeroengine components, sheet metal fabrication, and assemblies to better serve commercial and defense aerospace OEMs and MRO customers.

Barnes Group Inc. Acquires MB Aerospace

Barnes Group Inc. agreed to acquire MB Aerospace for an enterprise value of approximately $740 million, expanding Barnes' aerospace manufacturing and MRO capabilities. MB Aerospace, headquartered in Motherwell, Scotland, operates ~10 facilities with ~1,450 employees and is projected to generate about $330 million of revenue and $65 million of EBITDA in 2023; the transaction (expected Q4 2023) was intended to strengthen Barnes' OEM and aftermarket offerings and add defense exposure.

(The Edgewater Funds) has made an investment in Boulden Company, Inc., a Conshohocken, Pennsylvania-based supplier of wear components and services for high-value reciprocating and rotating equipment. The investment launches a new Edgewater platform focused on aftermarket wear components, materials solutions, and services; Edgewater plans to scale the platform through organic growth and strategic add-on acquisitions while partnering with founder Brian Boulden and the existing management team.

Coltala Holdings Acquires AeroParts Group to Form Coltala Aerospace

Coltala Holdings has acquired AeroParts Group (APG), a Mansfield, Texas-based aircraft MRO and composite repair services provider, and established Coltala Aerospace. Thornburg Bow River Advisers’ Private Credit team provided financing to support the transaction as Coltala builds a platform to expand aerospace and defense maintenance, repair and precision machining capabilities in the Dallas–Fort Worth region.

Greenbriar Equity Group Acquires Sunvair Aerospace Group from Blue Sea Capital

Funds managed by Greenbriar Equity Group completed the acquisition of Sunvair Aerospace Group, a U.S.-based aircraft component MRO specialist, from Blue Sea Capital. Greenbriar said the investment will support Sunvair's organic growth and acquisition strategy to expand its engineered MRO capabilities across landing gear, avionics and accessory repairs.
