Splice Acquires Spitfire Audio

Splice has acquired UK-based virtual instrument library maker Spitfire Audio in a transaction reported to be about USD $50 million. The deal brings Spitfire’s high-end sampled instruments and sound libraries together with Splice’s AI-powered music-creation platform; Spitfire will continue to operate independently with Olivier Robert‑Murphy as CEO reporting to Splice’s CEO Kakul Srivastava.
