StarLIMS to Acquire Lonza’s MODA Platform

The transaction is expected to close in Q2 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, and will extend StarLIMS’ LIMS offering into manufacturing workflows via an end-to-end lab-to-floor solution.

Turn/River Capital Acquires StarLIMS from Francisco Partners

Turn/River Capital has acquired StarLIMS, a Hollywood, Florida–based laboratory informatics software provider, from Francisco Partners in a transaction valued at roughly $200 million. Turn/River plans to scale StarLIMS’ product and go-to-market capabilities — including AI integration — while CEO Trey Cook remains in place as Francisco Partners fully exits the investment.

Instem Acquires RockStep Solutions (Climb)

The acquisition expands Thermo Fisher’s cloud and digital-lab capabilities by integrating Core’s Platform for Science into Thermo Fisher’s informatics and instrument ecosystem to better serve biopharma, genomics and industrial scientific customers.
