Svante Technologies Acquires Carbon Alpha to Advance BECCS in Western Canada

Svante Technologies announced it has acquired Calgary-based Carbon Alpha Corporation and its related subsidiaries to accelerate commercial-scale carbon dioxide removal (CDR). The deal adds Carbon Alpha’s North Star Bioenergy Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) project—developed with the Meadow Lake Tribal Council—along with CCS development capabilities and a regional storage hub in Western Canada.
