CookUnity, a chef-made meal delivery platform headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, has acquired Cookin, a Toronto-based platform and operating system for culinary creators. The acquisition integrates Cookin’s creator tools and 1,500 chefs into CookUnity’s subscription and supply-chain network, expanding capabilities for chefs and enabling CookUnity’s first international expansion into Canada.

EQI Ltd. Acquires Ferralloy, Inc.

EQI Ltd. has acquired Ferralloy, Inc., a Cleveland-based supplier of heat-resistant alloy castings, forgings, machined components and specialty raw materials. The deal will fold Ferralloy into EQI's portfolio (alongside Pro-Tech) to expand EQI's thermal processing and metal components capabilities and broaden its customer base and supply-chain footprint.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. Acquires Cooksey Iron & Metal Co.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. has acquired all outstanding equity interests of Cooksey Iron & Metal Co., a metals service center headquartered in Tifton, Georgia. Cooksey (approximately $90 million in trailing annual net sales) will operate as a subsidiary of Metals USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance; terms were not disclosed.

J.A.M. Enterprises Acquires Chantal Cookware

MacLean Power Systems Acquires Dotson Iron Castings

MacLean Power Systems has completed the acquisition of Dotson Iron Castings, a century-old ductile iron foundry based in Mankato, Minnesota. The purchase furthers MacLean's vertical-integration strategy to strengthen its U.S. supply chain, increase production capacity and shorten lead times for utility and communications infrastructure products; Dotson CEO Tyson Twait will join MPS as Vice President and General Manager of Mankato Operations.

Oakland Standard Company Acquires Damascus Steel Casting Company

Oakland Standard Company, a private equity firm, has added Damascus Steel Casting Company to its specialty metals platform alongside Temperform and The C.A. Lawton Co. The add-on expands the platform's capabilities in steel and engineered castings (low- to medium-volume shell-mold production) and will be integrated under a new platform leadership team led by Alex Lawton.
