TerraVest Industries Acquires KBK Industries for $90 Million

TerraVest Industries Inc. acquired KBK Industries, LLC, a Houston-based manufacturer of fiberglass and steel storage tanks, for $90.0 million in cash. The deal adds manufacturing capacity in Kansas and Texas and expands TerraVest’s U.S. tank platform alongside its existing Canadian aboveground fiberglass operations and its Composite USA business in Maryland.

Watts Water Technologies Acquires Superior Boiler

Watts Water Technologies, through its subsidiaries, has completed the acquisition of Superior Boiler, a designer and manufacturer of customized steam and hot water boilers used in commercial, institutional and industrial applications. The deal (funded with cash on hand) brings Superior's portfolio and capabilities into Watts' plumbing, heating and water-quality product lines to expand custom boiler offerings and drive cross-selling opportunities.

TerraVest Industries Acquires EnTrans International

TerraVest Industries Inc. has acquired EnTrans International, a North American manufacturer of tank trailers and specialty transportation equipment, for US$546 million plus up to US$46 million in contingent earn-out. The acquisition adds manufacturing capacity and complementary product lines (Heil, Polar, Kalyn Siebert, Jarco) across the United States, Mexico and Thailand and is intended to expand TerraVest's capabilities, cross-selling opportunities and geographic diversification.

TerraVest Industries Acquires Advance Engineered Products

TerraVest Industries Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire Advance Engineered Products, a Regina-based manufacturer and service provider in the tank trailer industry. The seller is Ironbridge Equity Partners (with management participation); financial terms were not disclosed. TerraVest said Advance is complementary to its existing tank trailer businesses and will expand its product and service offerings.

SP Investor Holdings LLC, a vehicle jointly owned by OPTrust and Partners Group, acquired Unit Corporation's 50% interest in Superior Pipeline Company, resulting in SP Investor owning 100% of the business and rebranding it as Superior Midstream, LLC. The move consolidates ownership under the SP Investor group and positions the company to grow its natural gas gathering, processing, compression, and dehydration services.
