Renfro Brands has acquired MJ Soffe (Soffe), the iconic athletic and lifestyle apparel brand, as part of a strategic effort to broaden its product portfolio and deepen its presence in the retail activewear market. The deal transfers the Soffe brand from Delta Apparel to Renfro and will allow Renfro to expand into apparel categories beyond its core socks and legwear business.

Hospeco Brands Group Acquires Monarch Brands

Hospeco Brands Group has merged with Monarch Brands, bringing the Philadelphia-based manufacturer and wholesaler of microfiber, commercial laundry linen, institutional textiles, and wiping products into the Hospeco portfolio. The transaction expands Hospeco's wiping and microfiber product offering and creates cross-selling opportunities across both companies' channels while retaining Monarch's key management and sales staff.

Audax Private Equity Acquires Rensa Filtration

The transaction (terms undisclosed) represents a sponsor-to-sponsor sale from The Edgewater Funds (with prior co-investor Duchossois Capital Management); Rensa CEO Brandon Ost and management will remain in place with a significant ownership stake as Audax pursues a buy-and-build growth strategy.

Centric Brands Acquires Hosiery Division From Daytona Apparel Group

The hosiery business will be integrated into Centric’s accessories division, with several Daytona hosiery associates joining Centric and Centric assuming certain license agreements including Stanley, Free Country, Real Tree, and Umbro.

Renovation Brands Acquires Profile Designs

Renovation Brands, a parent company of multiple online home improvement brands (owned by Digital Fuel Capital), has acquired Profile Designs, a Port Richey, Florida-based maker of artisanal decorative finishes for American Tin Ceilings. The acquisition will expand American Tin Ceilings' capacity for custom finish projects and broaden Renovation Brands' product offerings in the home improvement / building products market.

Heckethorne Manufacturing Co. Acquires Erisco Industries Inc.

Heckethorne Manufacturing Company, a portfolio company of Renovo Capital (co-owned with Rosewood Private Investments), has acquired substantially all assets of Erisco Industries Inc. The deal adds Erisco’s wire-formed product manufacturing capabilities and facilities in Erie, Pennsylvania and Monterrey, Mexico to Heckethorne’s operations, expanding manufacturing capabilities and geographic footprint; senior debt financing was provided by First Tennessee Bank.
