Thompson Safety, a Houston-based safety and fire protection services provider, has acquired Austin-based 1st Fire Safety to expand its fire protection footprint in the Austin market. Steven Monaco, the former owner of 1st Fire Safety, will retain the company's specialty products division and continue to partner with Thompson Safety, while the acquisition enables cross-selling of Thompson's first aid and safety services to fire clients.
