Irving, Limited, adding BNI's daily and weekly newspapers, digital properties and its parcel delivery business to Postmedia's portfolio. The transaction was valued at $7.5 million in cash plus $8.6 million in variable voting shares of Postmedia, and Postmedia says the acquisition expands its national news footprint and parcel delivery capabilities across Canada.
