Formerra, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, has acquired Total Polymer Solutions (TPS), a distributor of polymer materials with a market presence in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The add-on deal strengthens Formerra's healthcare materials distribution footprint in Europe and brings TPS's founders into the Formerra team as continuing investors.

AgroFresh Acquires Tessara

AgroFresh Solutions Inc., a Paine Schwartz portfolio company, has completed the acquisition of Tessara, a Cape Town–based provider of SO2-generating intelligent packaging for fresh produce. The add-on expands AgroFresh's post-harvest freshness and food-waste reduction capabilities—notably into table grapes and berries—and strengthens its presence across key fruit-growing regions including South Africa, China, Australia and South America.
