Total Transportation Services (TTSI), a Sun Capital-backed drayage and logistics platform, has acquired Marine Container Services (MCS), a Newark, New Jersey provider of intermodal drayage and warehousing. The deal expands TTSI's East Coast footprint and adds over 130 tractors and roughly 300,000 sq. ft. of warehouse capacity across four facilities to its network.

AIT Worldwide Logistics Acquires Global Transport Solutions Group

AIT Worldwide Logistics has acquired Global Transport Solutions Group (GTS), a Netherlands-headquartered specialist in time-critical marine spare parts logistics. The deal brings GTS’ more than 600 teammates across 16 locations and nine consolidation hubs into AIT’s global network, adding marine spare-parts capabilities, warehouse capacity and new geographic presence in Greece, Japan and the Nordics; terms were not disclosed.

Descartes Systems Group acquired Cracking Logistics Limited (dba Kontainers), a UK-based provider of client-facing digital freight execution platforms. The consideration is up to $12.0 million (US$6.0 million up-front plus up to US$6.0 million in performance-based earnouts). Descartes will integrate Kontainers' digital freight platform with its Global Logistics Network to expand customer-facing and API-enabled capabilities for logistics services providers.
