Littlejohn & Co., LLC has acquired Sunbelt Modular, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of commercial modular building solutions, from MSouth Equity Partners. Sunbelt, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, operates 10 facilities with more than 1,300 employees. Marathon Asset Management and Webster Bank provided senior-secured financing to support the acquisition; terms were not disclosed.

Sunbelt Modular, a Littlejohn & Co.-backed modular building platform, has acquired Whitley Manufacturing, a custom commercial modular building manufacturer operating facilities in Indiana, Washington and Pennsylvania. Terms were not disclosed; Whitley CEO and owner Simon Dragan will remain an investor in the combined business as Sunbelt expands its national manufacturing footprint and capabilities.

MSouth Equity Partners, an Atlanta-based private equity firm, has acquired Sunbelt Modular, a Phoenix-based manufacturer of commercial modular buildings, as its new controlling equity investor. Sunbelt will continue to be led by CEO Ron Procunier and will operate its seven regional brands while MSouth supports the company's growth and potential platform expansion.
