Fremont-Wright is a Memphis-based holding company of nine engineering, surveying, and architectural firms operating across eleven states and will use the capital to pursue acquisitions and expand its footprint.

The HFW Companies Acquires Taney Engineering

The acquisition brings Taney's civil engineering, flood-control and renewable-energy site expertise into HFW's network of member firms to support growth and cross-collaboration across metropolitan and infrastructure markets.

Lochner Acquires K Friese + Associates

The acquisition expands Lochner's water and drainage capabilities and Texas presence; K Friese will operate as K Friese + Associates, A Lochner Company, and founder Karen Friese will join Lochner's board.

Chen Moore and Associates Acquires Fred Wilson & Associates, Inc.

Fort Lauderdale-based Chen Moore and Associates has acquired Jacksonville-based Fred Wilson & Associates, Inc., a 60-year-old engineering firm. The acquisition adds electrical engineering capability, brings the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) into Chen Moore's project portfolio, expands the firm's presence in northern Florida and increases its statewide team to more than 100 employees.

Metromont Acquires Heldenfels Enterprises, Inc.

Metromont, a Greenville-based precast concrete manufacturer, has acquired Heldenfels Enterprises, Inc., a San Marcos, Texas precast and prestressed concrete producer, from founder Fred Heldenfels IV and other shareholders. The acquisition will expand Metromont’s precast capabilities and presence in the Texas market while Heldenfels will operate as a Metromont company under existing leadership.

Kleinfelder Acquires Doucet & Associates, Inc.

The Kleinfelder Group, a Wind Point Partners portfolio company, has acquired Doucet & Associates, Inc., a civil engineering and surveying firm headquartered in Austin, Texas. The transaction closed May 31, 2023; Doucet’s ~110 professionals across six Texas offices will join Kleinfelder’s Central Division and continue to operate under existing leadership to expand Kleinfelder’s capabilities and presence in the Texas market.
