Engineering Services Acquisitions in 2018

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) has acquired Crane Engineering, a multi-disciplinary forensic engineering and investigation firm with a forty-year track record. The acquisition expands ESi’s technical capabilities (notably in automotive, oil & gas, fire protection, building sciences and transportation) and accelerates its local presence in the upper Midwest to better serve litigation, insurance and industrial clients.

Fremont-Wright LLC has acquired Harmsen & Associates, Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying firm based in Washington state. The buyer intends to integrate Harmsen's surveying, land-use planning and civil engineering capabilities into its national platform to expand service offerings and geographic coverage.

RS&H, an employee-owned architecture, engineering and consulting firm based in Jacksonville, Florida, has acquired Tsiouvaras Simmons Holderness (TSH), a Colorado-based transportation engineering and consulting firm. The acquisition gives RS&H a substantial presence in the Colorado market and augments its transportation, construction management and infrastructure capabilities in the region.
