Varsteel, a leading steel and pipe service center, has acquired Pacific Steel, a Quebec-based distributor, fabricator and installer of structural steel and rebar. The acquisition expands Varsteel’s geographic footprint coast-to-coast across Canada and adds Eastern Canada operations and fabrication capabilities through Pacific Steel’s two Laval facilities.

Forum Energy Technologies Acquires Variperm Energy Services

Forum Energy Technologies (FET) completed the acquisition of Variperm Energy Services for $150 million in cash plus 2 million shares of FET common stock, a transaction reflecting approximately 3.7x Variperm's trailing twelve months EBITDA. The deal brings Variperm's sand and flow control and downhole technology capabilities into FET's completions and downhole product portfolio, broadening FET's product offering and global reach; Variperm was a portfolio company of SCF Partners and has ~290 employees across North America.

INDEVCO North America Acquires Perma R Products

Permico Founders Acquires Assets of Permico Midstream Partners

Permico Founders, LLC acquired the assets of Permico Midstream Partners, LLC through a Chapter 11-administered sale that closed March 3, 2022. The development-stage Houston midstream company — which focuses on transporting and processing natural gas liquids (NGLs) and marketing end products — sold its assets as part of a restructuring; GulfStar served as financial advisor to the trustee during the process.

Ranger Energy Services Acquires PerfX Wireline Services

Ranger Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: RNGR) completed the acquisition of PerfX Wireline Services on July 8, expanding its Mallard wireline business alongside the recent Patriot Completion Services acquisition. The transactions add significant assets (wireline trucks, pumps, cranes), eight locations and 27 customers, and include a warrant giving Ranger a 30% ownership option in XConnect; Ranger issued shares and assumed certain equipment-related debt as part of the combined deals.

Partners Group Acquires Resilient Infrastructure Group

Partners Group has acquired Resilient Infrastructure Group, a Portland-based water infrastructure platform that develops, finances and operates distributed water and wastewater facilities across the US and Canada. Financial terms were not disclosed; Partners Group said it will work with Resilient’s management to expand the platform through development projects, acquisitions and strategic partnerships, and noted Resilient has closed an investment in a wastewater-to-renewable natural gas project at Threemile Canyon Farms in Oregon.
