VMware Acquires Carbon Black

VMware completed its acquisition of Carbon Black in an all-cash transaction valued at $2.1 billion (at $26 per share). Carbon Black will form the nucleus of a new VMware Security Business Unit to expand VMware’s cloud-native security and endpoint protection capabilities.
