WalkerHughes Insurance, a privately held retail insurance brokerage headquartered in Indianapolis, has acquired Independent Brokers Agency LLC (IBA), a family-owned insurance agency based in Ballwin, Missouri. The deal marks WalkerHughes' first acquisition outside Indiana and expands its personal, commercial and employee benefits capabilities in the St. Louis metro; IBA principals Heather Wessels and Mike Swatske will remain in local leadership roles.
