Walmart Acquires Alert Innovation

Walmart has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Alert Innovation, the Boston-area developer of the Alphabot automated e-grocery fulfillment system. The acquisition brings Alert Innovation’s development, manufacturing and deployment capabilities in-house to accelerate Walmart's market fulfillment center automation and omnichannel grocery fulfillment.
