Midwest Remediation Acquires Icon Property Rescue

Midwest Remediation, a CID Capital portfolio company, has acquired Icon Property Rescue of Cincinnati (headquartered in Milford, Ohio). The add-on expands Midwest Remediation's emergency restoration footprint into the Cincinnati/OH-KY market and is the second acquisition since CID's investment in February 2023.

Indianapolis-based private equity firm CID Capital has made a platform investment in Etruscan Gutters & Roofing, LLC, a Highland Park, Illinois–headquartered provider of residential repair and re-roofing services across the northern Chicago suburbs. CID said the investment (the first from CID Capital Opportunity Fund IV) will support Etruscan’s organic growth and pursue strategic add-on acquisitions to build a market-leading residential repair and re-roofing platform.

The transaction is a recapitalization that provides owner liquidity to founders Rusty Dinwiddie, Mark Stephens and Jimbo Saunders and positions Park Supply for growth with senior and subordinated financing provided by First Horizon Bank and Reinsurance Group of America.

Midwest Remediation Acquires Water Out

Midwest Remediation (MWR) has acquired family-owned, Fort Wayne-based Water Out to expand its restoration and emergency-response footprint across Indiana. Water Out's management and name will remain in place, and the combined business will offer water damage, mold remediation, fire restoration, sewage, and air duct cleaning across a larger Indiana territory.

CAI Capital Partners Invests in Midwestern Electric

Vancouver-based private equity firm CAI Capital Partners has partnered with Midwestern Electric, a specialty electrical infrastructure services provider headquartered in East Chicago, Indiana. Management (including Ryan Rentschler, Ryan Lepper and Lenore Obajtek) retained meaningful equity and will continue to lead the business as CAI provides capital (with debt financing from CIBC) to support platform growth and expansion of MWE's municipal and commercial electrical services.
