Hexagon Acquires 3D Systems' Geomagic Suite and Septentrio NV

Hexagon AB has completed two acquisitions: the Geomagic software suite from 3D Systems and GNSS specialist Septentrio NV. Geomagic will operate within Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division while Septentrio will be consolidated into Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions division; the transactions closed following regulatory approvals and are expected to generate one-off integration and separation costs of ~40 MEUR.

Hexagon Acquires CAD Service

Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division has acquired Parma-based CAD Service to fully integrate its OpenCAD visualisation tools into HxGN EAM. CAD Service, which has a nine-person team and a longstanding partnership with Hexagon, will be consolidated into Hexagon to accelerate development of enhanced 3D visualisation capabilities for customers in manufacturing, energy, and transportation.

EXCEL Management Systems Acquires The Romack Group

EXCEL Management Systems, Inc., a minority‑owned IT solutions firm based in Columbus, Ohio, has acquired The Romack Group, a Dallas‑based provider of staffing, employer-of-record (EOR), and IT security staffing services. The deal was facilitated by Benchmark International and is intended to expand EXCEL's service capabilities and client relationships in staffing and EOR services.

Hexagon AB Acquires CADS Additive GmbH

Hexagon AB has completed the acquisition of CADS Additive GmbH, an Austrian provider of software for metal additive manufacturing build preparation. The purchase expands Hexagon's additive manufacturing software capabilities by integrating CADS Additive's AM Studio build-preparation and support-structure tools into Hexagon's Nexus-enabled AM workflow and Simufact Additive simulation offerings.

Cadence Acquires Hexagon's Design & Engineering Business

Cadence Design Systems completed the acquisition of Hexagon AB's Design & Engineering (D&E) business for approximately €2.7 billion in cash and Cadence common stock. Hexagon received ~3.2 million Cadence shares (about 30% of consideration) with the remainder in cash; the D&E business contributed roughly €265 million of revenue in 2024 and the sale is expected to produce a ~€1.4 billion gain for Hexagon. The deal expands Cadence's capabilities in physical AI, multiphysics and system-level design and analysis.

Google Acquires Raxium

Google has acquired Raxium, a Fremont, California-based innovator in single-panel MicroLED display technologies. The Raxium team will join Google's Devices & Services division to bolster the company's hardware efforts and accelerate AR/VR display development.
