Crane 1 Services Inc. purchased the assets of Hoist & Crane Systems, Inc. (H&C) in an add-on acquisition announced April 29, 2022. The asset purchase, sponsored by private equity backer L Squared Capital, expands Crane 1's service footprint into the greater Charlotte / Carolinas market and brings nearly 30 H&C employees and fabrication, inspection and maintenance capabilities into the Crane 1 platform.

UES Acquires CSI to Expand Midwest Operations

UES, a national engineering and consulting firm based in Orlando, Florida, has acquired CSI (Consulting Services Incorporated), a Lexington, Kentucky-based geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and environmental services firm with an additional office in Cincinnati, Ohio. The acquisition brings CSI into UES's Midwest region to expand services and geographic coverage in Kentucky and Ohio; CSI's leadership will continue to operate day-to-day business.

Crane Company Acquires Vian Enterprises, Inc.

Crane Company has acquired Vian Enterprises, Inc. for approximately $103 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis. Vian, a designer and manufacturer of multi-stage lubrication pumps and lubrication system components for aerospace and defense, reported trailing 12-month sales of about $33 million and adjusted EBITDA of approximately $8 million; Crane said the acquisition expands its Aerospace & Electronics fluid solution capabilities and is expected to be immediately accretive to segment margins.

The Manitowoc Company Acquires H&E Equipment Services' Crane Business

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. has completed the acquisition of the crane business of H&E Equipment Services, Inc. for approximately $130 million. The acquired business will operate under Manitowoc’s wholly-owned subsidiary MGX Equipment Services, LLC and adds fourteen full‑service branch locations plus field service technicians to expand Manitowoc’s aftermarket capabilities and regional footprint.

Forensic Engineering Services, LLC (FES), a Trinity Hunt Partners portfolio company, has partnered with and acquired Scientific Analysis, Inc. (SAI), a Dallas-based provider of accident reconstruction and forensic engineering services. The deal expands FES's technical capabilities and geographic footprint, combining SAI with existing operations (including WEXCO) under FES to build a larger forensic engineering services platform.
