Klöckner & Co SE Acquires National Material of Mexico

Klöckner & Co SE, via its U.S. subsidiary Kloeckner Metals Corporation (KMC), completed the acquisition of National Material of Mexico (NMM), a leading independent steel service center and materials supplier with ten facilities across Mexico. The acquisition expands KMC's footprint in Mexico and strengthens its presence in automotive and industrial end markets; as a combined company the group operates 56 sites with around 2,600 employees. NMM's experienced management team will remain and the business will be integrated stepwise under the Kloeckner Metals brand.

The acquired centers are located in Dubuque (Iowa), Charlotte (North Carolina), Suwanee (Georgia), Houston (Texas), Austin (Texas), Jacksonville (Florida) and Pompano Beach (Florida), and the deal expands Russel's U.S. footprint in key geographic areas.
