Roofing Corp of America (RCA), a subsidiary of FirstService Corporation, has acquired Springer-Peterson Roofing & Sheet Metal and A-1 All American Roofing Co. The tuck-in add-ons expand RCA’s presence in the U.S. Sun Belt—strengthening its commercial roofing footprint in central Florida and along the California coast—while existing management teams will remain with retained minority equity interests. Terms were not disclosed.

FirstService Corporation has acquired a significant controlling interest in Roofing Corp of America from Soundcore Capital Partners; the transaction closed on December 15, 2023. The purchase price is US$413 million, funded with cash and borrowings, with Roofing Corp management (including CEO Randy Korach) retaining the balance of the equity and continuing to run the business. Headquartered in Atlanta, Roofing Corp operates 16 regional branches across 11 U.S. states, employs more than 900 people, and generates approximately US$400 million in annual revenue.

The deal gives RCA its first sizable foothold in the Mountain West (Colorado and southern Wyoming); FRRS's ownership team will remain in place and the company will operate as a stand-alone within RCA.
