CST Utilities Acquires Daystar Directional Drilling

CST Utilities, a portfolio company of MFG Partners, has acquired Noblesville, Indiana-based Daystar Directional Drilling effective July 15, 2025. The deal expands CST's Midwest footprint and service offerings in underground utility drilling; Daystar's founder Jerry Watson III will remain leading the Indiana operation and retain an ownership stake.

Crestone Services Group (a PE-backed utility services platform) acquired HDD Specialists, LLC and Underground Specialties, Inc. to expand its directional drilling and trenchless-utility capabilities ahead of increased 5G and utility-infrastructure work. The transactions fold Underground Specialties into Crestone's DrillTech division and retain HDDS leadership to grow crews and service offerings across power, gas and telecom markets.

MFG Partners has completed an investment in Chuck's Septic Tank and Drain Cleaning, Inc., CST Utilities, LLC, and I-Bore, LLC (collectively "CST"), in partnership with PNC Mezzanine Capital and Centerfield Capital Partners. CST, founded in 1969 and headquartered in Grove City, Ohio, is a turnkey underground infrastructure services provider offering excavation, boring, drain cleaning and related pumping services to public utilities, telecom providers and other businesses; the deal is positioned as a platform investment to support the company's long-term growth.

Precision Drilling Corporation Acquires CWC Energy Services Corp.

Precision Drilling Corporation has entered into an agreement to acquire all issued and outstanding common shares of CWC Energy Services Corp. for approximately $141 million in total consideration (947,909 Precision shares valued at ~$88M, $14M cash, plus assumption of debt). The acquisition adds 62 marketed service rigs in Canada and 18 marketed drilling rigs (including 11 in the U.S.), and is expected to generate about $20 million of annual operating synergies while supporting Precision's deleveraging plan.

Sage Park Acquires Clean Harbors' Directional Boring Business; Launches Omni Directional Boring
