Upland Software acquired New Jersey-based ComSci, adding ComSci's cloud-based IT financial business management (ITFBM) capabilities to Upland's family of cloud enterprise applications. The deal, announced at Upland's Impact 2013 conference, will keep ComSci's existing management and teams in place; financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition adds capture, security and compliance capabilities to Upland’s enterprise work management portfolio, is expected to be immediately accretive to Adjusted EBITDA, and supports Upland’s vertical presence in financial services, legal and healthcare.

(Nasdaq: UPLD) has acquired Panviva Pty Ltd, a cloud-based enterprise knowledge-management (KM) provider, to expand Upland’s knowledge-guided customer service and contact-center offerings. The deal was funded with $19.8 million cash at closing plus a $3.5 million cash holdback; Panviva is expected to contribute approximately $7.5 million of recurring annual revenue and the transaction led Upland to raise its 2021 guidance.

The acquisition expands Upland’s Contact Center Productivity suite by integrating native CTI with its knowledge management and sentiment analysis offerings and is immediately accretive to adjusted EBITDA per share.
