Codan Group (via Codan US Inc.) Acquires Kägwerks (SKT2 LLC)

The Codan Group, through its wholly owned subsidiary Codan US Inc., has agreed to acquire 100% of US-based SKT2 LLC dba Kägwerks, a developer of soldier-worn tactical networking communications hardware and software. The deal, funded partly by increased debt capacity and including upfront cash (~$33.6m) plus up-to-5% royalties over five years, positions Codan to expand its tactical communications capabilities and accelerate entry into the US military market.

The acquisition expands Cyberlux's defense technology capabilities by integrating Datron's tactical communications products and global customer footprint into Cyberlux's UAS and advanced communications offerings.

TCG, headquartered in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, is a provider of tactical data link software and simulation solutions for military communications and will operate within Curtiss-Wright’s Defense segment to enhance its flight test instrumentation and tactical data link capabilities.

Canopy Aerospace & Defense, a portfolio company of Trive Capital, has acquired Tods Technology Ltd., a Portland, Dorset-based designer and manufacturer of advanced composite structures and acoustic materials for the maritime defense sector. The add-on acquisition expands Canopy A&D's technical capabilities in sonar domes and acoustic enclosures, strengthens transatlantic supply-chain resilience, and will see Tods operate under the Canopy A&D umbrella with further investment in infrastructure and people.
