Yamaha Motor Acquires Brose's e-Kit Bicycle Drive Unit Business Subsidiary

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement to acquire Brose's bicycle drive unit (e-Kit) business subsidiary, with completion subject to regulatory clearances and expected by June 2025. Yamaha will operate the acquired business through a newly established German entity, Yamaha Motor eBike Systems (YMESG), to build a European development base, expand market presence and strengthen after-sales service using Brose's network.
