Yamaha Motor Acquires Torqeedo from DEUTZ

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has completed the acquisition of Torqeedo, the German maker of electric outboard and inboard boat motors, from DEUTZ AG as part of DEUTZ's portfolio realignment. The deal, reported to generate proceeds in the high double-digit millions of euros for DEUTZ, positions Torqeedo to grow under Yamaha's industrial base and strengthens Yamaha's electric marine propulsion capabilities.
