Covanta Acquires Circon Holdings from Kinderhook Industries

Covanta has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Circon Holdings, Inc., a Kinderhook Industries portfolio company, in a transaction that adds more than 600 employees and some 2,500 customers to Covanta's platform. The acquisition (subject to customary regulatory approvals) significantly expands Covanta's wastewater footprint, multiplies its engineered fuels business, and broadens its Gulf Coast and Midwest geographic presence.

The acquisition, funded with cash on hand, adds I-CON's water management systems to Watts' portfolio to expand its digital offerings and drive growth in institutional/corrections end markets; I-CON's annualized sales are approximately $25 million.

Integrated Water Services and Sciens Water Acquire Hyperion International Technologies

Integrated Water Services, in partnership with Sciens Water Opportunities Management (an affiliate of Sciens Capital), acquired 100% of Hyperion International Technologies, a control-systems and engineering services provider for water and wastewater markets. The acquisition expands IWS’s treatment technology capabilities and production of wastewater reuse solutions, enabling a more integrated offering for industrial manufacturers, water utilities, and municipalities.

Cleanwater1 Acquires Integrity Municipal Systems (IMS)

Cleanwater1, a Baird Capital–backed water technologies platform, has completed the acquisition of Integrity Municipal Systems (IMS), a designer and supplier of packaged lime slaking, chemical feed, odor control and related process systems for municipal and industrial water/wastewater customers. The deal expands Cleanwater1’s engineered solutions and service capabilities for lime systems, odor control and chemical feed systems.
