Covanta Acquires Circon Holdings from Kinderhook Industries

Covanta has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Circon Holdings, Inc., a Kinderhook Industries portfolio company, in a transaction that adds more than 600 employees and some 2,500 customers to Covanta's platform. The acquisition (subject to customary regulatory approvals) significantly expands Covanta's wastewater footprint, multiplies its engineered fuels business, and broadens its Gulf Coast and Midwest geographic presence.

Intergulf Corporation (Kinderhook) Acquires Beaver Oil Co., LLC

Intergulf Corporation, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, has acquired Beaver Oil Co., LLC, adding a CWT plant and RCRA Part B TSDF in Hodgkins, IL and a co-products and waste oil processing/storage facility in Gary, IN. The transaction is Intergulf's second add-on and expands the platform's geographic coverage into the Chicago refining market while increasing wastewater processing and hazardous liquids capabilities.

The add-on expands Shenandoah’s footprint into Tampa Bay and West Central Florida, adds experienced staff and new municipal, industrial and government customers, and broadens its service capabilities in pipeline inspection and rehabilitation.

Wind River Environmental Acquires Koberlein Environmental Services

Wind River Environmental, backed by Gryphon Investors, has acquired Koberlein Environmental Services, a septic and non-hazardous liquid waste services provider headquartered in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. The deal adds Koberlein’s three locations, more than 20,000 residential, commercial and municipal customers, and roughly 45 employees to Wind River’s platform to expand local service in New York and eastern Pennsylvania.
