SCIO Automation GmbH acquired AUTKOM Group on July 30, 2019, adding AUTKOM’s planning, construction and commissioning capabilities in automation, electrical engineering and control-systems software to its automation platform. AUTKOM, founded in 1998 and based in Ladenburg, Germany, employs about 30 people and will remain operationally led by its two managing directors while benefiting from SCIO’s group resources and strategic support.

The transaction is an add-on to SCIO’s automation platform, which is PE-backed by Quadriga Capital.

Quadriga Capital’s Partnership Va has exited while Quadriga (Fund VI) has reinvested a minority position; SCIO is an industrial automation system integrator headquartered in Frankenthal, Germany with ~1,100 employees and ~€190 million of revenues in 2022.
