Frontenac Recapitalizes XanEdu

Chicago-based private equity firm Frontenac announced a recapitalization of XanEdu, a provider of custom course materials and digital content for K–12 and higher education. Financial terms were not disclosed; Frontenac said the partnership will provide strategic insight and capital to support XanEdu's growth plans, including strategic acquisitions and partnerships.

Scholarus Learning (XanEdu / Frontenac) Acquires PLC Associates

XanEdu has formed Scholarus Learning, a portfolio of education services companies, and — with financial partner Frontenac — acquired PLC Associates, a provider of training, measurement and advisory materials for K‑12 leaders. The acquisition expands Scholarus Learning’s suite of K‑12 products and professional services alongside its existing businesses (XanEdu, Education Elements and Tripod), strengthening capabilities in data collection, professional development and curriculum support.

Learnit Acquires AcademyX

The deal expands Verge Learning's marketplace and brings the combined user base to over 30,000 therapists, educators, parents, and advocates across more than a dozen countries.

Newsela Acquires Formative
