Volaris Group Acquires Majority of Nokia's IP Video Business (Velocix)

Volaris Group has completed the purchase of the majority of Nokia's IP Video business, creating a new independent streaming-technology company, Velocix. Nokia will remain a minority shareholder in Velocix, which will operate inside Volaris' Communications & Media portfolio; financial terms were not disclosed.

Volaris Group Acquires Squirrels LLC

Volaris Group has acquired Squirrels LLC, a North Canton, Ohio-based developer of wireless audio and video transmission software (products include Ditto, AirParrot and Reflector). Squirrels will join Volaris' education vertical, with co-founder and CEO Andrew Gould remaining as Volaris Business Unit Manager to help grow the business within the K-12 and higher education market.

Flash will operate autonomously within Volaris' Communications & Media vertical, bringing cloud-native SDN/NFV and the Harmony platform to Volaris' portfolio to expand capabilities and customer reach.
