ASSA ABLOY has acquired Kentix GmbH, a German designer and manufacturer of monitoring and access control products for data centers. Kentix, headquartered in Idar-Oberstein with about 40 employees and 2024 sales of ~MEUR 8, will join ASSA ABLOY’s EMEIA Division to expand the company’s capabilities in the data center security market.

The two companies operate as separate entities with main offices in Los Angeles and London, have combined sales of about MUSD 30 in 2023 and roughly 120 employees, and will be integrated into ASSA ABLOY's Global Solutions business area Hospitality; the deal is expected to close in Q2 2024.
