Alliance Technical Group Acquires CK Environmental

Decatur, Alabama-based Alliance Technical Group has acquired CK Environmental, an air emissions testing and environmental consulting firm headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts. The acquisition, which closed on June 28, 2022, adds CK Environmental's stack testing, QA/QC and maintenance capabilities to Alliance's national source-testing and emissions monitoring platform.

Alliance Technical Group, a Morgan Stanley Capital Partners–backed environmental testing and services platform, has acquired four independent environmental laboratories — Summit Environmental Technologies (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), Fremont Analytical (Seattle, WA), Orange Coast Analytical (Los Angeles, CA / Phoenix, AZ) and CHESTER LabNet (Portland, OR) — to build a nationwide laboratory network. The add-on deals expand Alliance's capabilities beyond air testing into water, hazardous waste, soil and PFAS/XRF analyses and broaden its geographic coverage across the United States.

Funds affiliated with Blackstone Energy Transition Partners and other Blackstone funds have acquired Alliance Technical Group (ATG), a Decatur, Alabama–based provider of environmental testing, monitoring and compliance services. ATG operates more than 60 offices and labs across the U.S. and Canada with over 2,200 employees; terms were not disclosed.

Alliance Technical Group acquired Chemtech Consulting Group, Inc. (Mountainside, New Jersey) and the air testing operations of Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (locations in St. Louis, Charlotte and Knoxville) to expand its laboratory and air emissions testing capabilities and geographic footprint. The air testing carve‑out was a divestiture by CEC (advised by AEC Advisors); Alliance said the deals broaden its service coverage across key U.S. markets.

BlackRock Alternatives Acquires Majority Stake in Environmental 360 Solutions (E360S)

The founder and CEO Donato (Danny) Ardellini will remain in his leadership role and retain a significant ownership stake; the investment will provide capital and strategic support to scale E360S's waste, recycling and environmental services across Canada.

Alliance Environmental Group Acquires Thermatech Northwest Inc.

The acquisition gives Alliance a presence in Washington (greater Seattle / Tacoma area) and adds Thermatech's hazardous waste removal, asbestos abatement and related services to Alliance's portfolio.
