Cisco Acquires Socio Labs to Expand Webex Events Capabilities

Cisco announced it will acquire U.S.-based Socio Labs, a hybrid event technology platform, to expand Webex's event and engagement capabilities for in-person, virtual and hybrid events. The acquisition is intended to integrate Socio's live streaming, sponsorship, networking and analytics features into Webex to deliver a more comprehensive hybrid event management solution.

Carlyle Acquires Data Center Provider Involta

Funds managed by global investment firm Carlyle have acquired Involta, a Cedar Rapids-based hybrid IT, cloud and data center services provider, from private equity firm M/C Partners. The acquisition (which closed in early 2022) gives Carlyle control of Involta's 12 data center facilities and 12,000+ fiber-mile network and is intended to accelerate geographic and capability expansion across hybrid cloud, edge and fiber services.

Cisco Acquires BabbleLabs to Enhance Webex Audio

Cisco announced its intent to acquire BabbleLabs, an AI-driven speech enhancement and noise-removal startup, to integrate native noise removal and voice enhancement into the Webex collaboration platform. The acquisition brings BabbleLabs' technology and engineering team into Cisco Collaboration to improve meeting audio quality and privacy by processing noise removal at the client side.

Entelo Acquires ConveyIQ

Five9 Acquires Inference Solutions

Cisco Acquires Accedian from Bridge Growth Partners
