GrowGeneration Acquires Assets of Canopy Crop Management

GrowGeneration Corp. acquired the assets and product portfolio (including the Power SI brand) of Southern California-based Canopy Crop Management. The acquisition brings founder Rex Gill and proprietary silicic acid formulations into GrowGen as the company pursues private label product development and expanded product offerings for its hydroponic retail chain.

GrowGeneration Corp. (NASDAQ: GRWG) acquired Big Green Tomato, a two-store hydroponic and garden supply chain operating in Battle Creek and Taylor, Michigan. The deal adds two retail locations (including purchase of a 10,000 sq ft Battle Creek property), strengthens GrowGeneration's presence in Michigan and expands its footprint in the commercial and recreational cannabis cultivation end market.

FreshEdge (Rotunda-backed) Acquires Vine Line

The add-on expands FreshEdge's footprint in western Michigan, adds a 67,147 sq. ft. facility and additional logistics capacity to support the platform's growing customer base.

Andavi Solutions Acquires GreatVines

Andavi Solutions, a beverage alcohol software and data analytics company backed by Endeavour Capital, has acquired GreatVines, an enterprise sales-execution and trade-promotion management software provider for the beverage alcohol supply chain. The deal is an add-on to Andavi's platform strategy to expand its product capabilities and customer footprint across suppliers, distributors and retailers in the beverage alcohol industry.

GrowGeneration Corp. Acquires HGS Hydro

GrowGeneration Corp. signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire HGS Hydro, the third-largest chain of hydroponic garden centers in the U.S., adding six existing Michigan stores (with a seventh opening soon). The acquisition will increase GrowGeneration's Michigan footprint and bring its total store count to 65, and is expected to close before GrowGeneration's fiscal year-end 2021.

Plantation Products Acquires Sustainable Agrico and Dyna-Gro

Plantation Products, a Norton, Massachusetts-based supplier of branded gardening products, completed two add-on acquisitions in June 2020, acquiring Sustainable Agrico (the Seeds of Change gardening seeds business from Mars, Incorporated) and Dyna-Gro. The deals expand Plantation Products' seed and organic seed offerings and add liquid plant nutrient products to its branded portfolio to broaden its product mix and strengthen retail distribution.
