Multi-Color Corporation Acquires LUX Global Label

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) acquired LUX Global Label, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves and security labels headquartered in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. The acquisition, which closed December 9, 2022, adds LUX’s ~200 employees and production sites in Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico to MCC’s Home and Personal Care business to deepen capabilities in personal care and pharmaceutical end-markets.

CD&R Acquires Multi-Color Corporation and Fort Dearborn to Create Global Label Solutions Leader

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) agreed to acquire Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) from Platinum Equity and Fort Dearborn Company from Advent International and combine the two businesses into a single global label solutions platform. The combined company will serve consumer packaged goods customers across Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care, Wine & Spirits and other specialty end markets, creating roughly $3 billion in annual revenue and expanded global scale.

Standex International Acquires McStarlite Co.

Standex International Corporation has acquired McStarlite Co., a Harbor City, California-based maker of complex sheet metal aerospace components, for approximately $56.5 million in cash. McStarlite will be reported in Standex's Engineering Technologies Group and the acquisition is intended to expand Standex's forming capabilities and provide cross-selling and technical-exchange opportunities with its Spincraft business.

Multi-Color Corporation Acquires Herrods (Melbourne)

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) has acquired Melbourne-based Herrods, a leading in-mold label (IML) provider in Australia and New Zealand, to expand MCC's IML network and establish a stronger foothold in the Asia Pacific region. Financial terms were not disclosed; Herrods will continue to operate under its existing brand and leadership and employs approximately 100 staff across three Melbourne sites. MCC is a portfolio company of Platinum Equity.

Todd McCullough Acquires Prime Label KC

Prime Label KC, a Belton, Missouri-based manufacturer of custom pressure-sensitive labels, was sold to private investor Todd McCullough in a transaction that closed January 31, 2022. Generational Equity advised the seller (led by Keith Howard), and McCullough becomes owner and president as the company continues serving pharma/healthcare, food & beverage, retail/packaging and industrial customers across the U.S.
