TPG Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Centrify from Thoma Bravo

TPG Capital has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Centrify, a provider of privileged access management (PAM) solutions, from Thoma Bravo. Terms were not disclosed; as part of the transaction Art Gilliland will join Centrify as CEO and TPG said it will build on Centrify's leadership in identity security and privileged access management.

Thoma Bravo Acquires Ping Identity

Thoma Bravo completed its previously announced all-cash acquisition of Ping Identity for approximately $2.8 billion. Ping Identity stockholders received $28.50 per share, Ping Identity will be delisted from the NYSE, and Thoma Bravo said it will support Ping's next phase of product innovation and growth.

The transaction separates Forcepoint's Commercial and G2CI businesses; Francisco Partners will retain a minority stake in the newly independent G2CI business and Sean Berg was named CEO with Peter Leav joining as Executive Chairman.
