TPG Capital and TA Associates Acquire Planview from Thoma Bravo for $1.6 Billion

TPG Capital and TA Associates have agreed to acquire Planview, a provider of Portfolio Management and Work Management software, from Thoma Bravo in a $1.6 billion transaction. Thoma Bravo will retain a minority interest; the deal is intended to accelerate Planview’s growth and expand its enterprise SaaS capabilities as it transitions leadership following CEO Greg Gilmore’s planned departure.
