EVO Transportation Acquires West Side Transport

EVO Transportation & Energy Services has acquired West Side Transport, a Midwest-based truckload carrier and brokerage that operates 550 trucks, 2,300 trailers and about 700 employees, to diversify EVO's customer mix beyond the U.S. Postal Service and increase density in the Midwest. The deal was financed with debt and equity from WhiteHawk Capital Partners and Antara Capital; Don Vogt will serve as a board adviser and West Side COO Ron Joseph has been promoted to president of the West Side division. Terms were not disclosed.
