Flexware Innovation, a Hitachi group company, acquired Castle Hill Technologies on July 31, 2024 to strengthen its life sciences engineering and automation capabilities and expand operations in North Carolina. Castle Hill will continue to be led by President Robin Lowery and will complement Flexware and JR Automation with expertise in process automation, validation, owner's rep services and system integration.

Epicor Acquires MES Provider eFlex Systems

Epicor has acquired eFlex Systems, a provider of cloud-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) technologies, to expand its Industry 4.0 and advanced MES capabilities. The acquisition will add eFlex's Manufacturing Integrated Platform (MIP) and IIoT/connectivity features to Epicor's portfolio; financial terms were not disclosed.

Hexion Acquires Smartech to Add AI-Driven Manufacturing Capabilities

The deal — Hexion's first acquisition in a decade — brings Smartech's SmartWAX, SmartPF and patented SmartMDI technologies into Hexion's portfolio to drive production efficiency, cost savings and sustainability across wood processing and other manufacturing end-markets; terms were not disclosed.
